C.C was pretty much back to the form of his disaster 2013. Pitching deep into the inning but bad location, he allowed 6 runs in the first two innings before getting back to his stuff in the following 4 innings. As for the lineup, Soriano was apparently the scapegoat! =’=

Game 2:

Astros 3, Yankees 1
NY Yankees     AB    H      RBI      BB    SO
Ellsbury, CF      3      0         0          1       0
Jeter, SS             3      0         0         1        1

Roberts, B,       4              0          0        1

a-Solarte, PH   2     0         0          0       0

Team RISP: 0-for-10.

Continuing his ineptitude of offense, Soriano went 0-4 with another 2 strikeouts along with those yesterday!  Teixeira, on the other hand, went from yesterday’s hot bat to south. The whole team’s RISP was 0-for-10 anyway. =’=

NY Yankees    IP    H    R    ER    BB    SO  HR    ERA
Kuroda             6.0    3    2    2         1       5    1        3.00
Phelps, D           1.1    1    1    1         2       2    1        6.75
Thornton          0.1   0    0    0        1       0    0       0.00
Kelley                 0.1    0    0    0       0      0    0       0.00

Pitches-strikes: Kuroda 91-55

Another vintage outing of Kuroda though there were two long balls of those 3 hits he allowed~ Girardi has apparently started to control his pitches, the way he treated Andy Pettitte, to avoid another late-season falling out like was in 2012 & 2013.

Speaking of Andy Pettitte, here are two videos of him. One is him throwing the first pitch in Game 2 and the other is him talking about Jeter’s coming retirement after this season. Check out! XD~

Teixeira, 1B      4       0    0       0       0       0
Soriano, A,       4       0    0       0       0       0

See the hot 8-9-1-2 holes and then look at the middle of the lineup! ( ̄ c ̄)y▂ξ

NY Yankees            IP      H   R    ER    BB    SO
Nova(W, 1-0)         5.2    6    2     2       5       1
Warren(H, 1)          1.1    0    0     0      0        2
Kelley(H, 1)            1.0    0    0     0      0       2
Robertson(S, 1)    1.0    0    0     0      0        1

Nova got knocked around quite a bit but hey, he managed to only allow 2 runs! Robertson got his first save of the season! =)

Next series: Yankees @ Toronto, starting 7PM (EST) tomorrow!
